The Snatch

The snatch is the second Strength Performance Level exercise. It, like the clean and jerk, is one of the exercises performed in the Olympics. The bar is lifted slowly from the ground then 'jumped' up over head in one quick movement. The bar is 'caught' with arms straight and hips and knees bent. The lift is completed by straightening the legs.

Lynne successfully performs a Level 2 Snatch.
