Applying the 180 Degrees Principle at the Gym

I read about the 180 Degrees Principle today in a blog. This idea is from Charles Staley, a strength coach and trainer in Arizona. Essentially, he says, do the complete opposite of what you see everyone in the gym doing. Most people are walking on the treadmill or elliptical trainer, while other are doing bench press or curls. Don't follow the herd. Do what is safe and effective, not what you see others doing.
