The Pumpkin-Bell Challenge
Lift the Pumpkin-Bell (25lbs) by using the turkish get-up, clean and press, clean and jerk, or snatch either 300 (Bronze), 600 (Silver), or 900 (Gold) times by the end of October. The Pumpkin-Bell is available at the gym, during a training session, or during an outdoor group training session. Log your totals reps on this post in the comments section. Turkish get-ups count as two reps if you go up and down.
If you haven't demonstrated the ability to perform these lifts well, with 25 lbs, then I will work with you to help you get to the level you need to perform these lifts safely and proficiently.
The few, strong kettlebell lifters who reach these goals will win prizes (based on the level they reach).

Pumkinbell was missing in action when I went to the gym today. I used the other 25lb Kettle bell...bummer. 20 clean and press and 20 snatch. Total 40...this may take awhile:)

Yeah, I got to use Pumpkin-bell today, however, it wasn't any easier. 60 clean and press. Making total of 100. Yeah to everyone else who joined me Saturday morning. Go team:)

For October 3rd, 120 reps - 6 turkish get-ups, 68 snatches, 20 clean and press and 20 clean and jerks. Let's just say school was a teeny bit sressful that day, so I took out my frustrations on pumpkin bell
Total so far 200 reps.
For October 4th - 60 clean and press
46 clean and press today-it's a miracle!

Pumpkin-bell and I managed to accomplish 20 clean and press today and 20 snatches after my work out. Bringing total to 140. Sharon you are doing great. Claudia keep it up :) Yeah to Laura on the road with pumpkin-bell twin at Niagra:) Liz.

Man, you guys rock! I took the weekend off only to be confronted by Dan this morning telling me how awesome everyone is doing on the challenge. I knocked out 100 today, lost track of the combination I did...Dan helped with my poor form...new total is 160. Jen

Better late than never - entered the fray this morning with 41 snatches.
Went to work out and managed another 80. 20 clean and press and 20 snatch. Yikes. Tatal 220

Getting a late start but I did 100 total yesterday - 60 snatch , 20 clean & press and 20 clean & jerk - Stan

Trying to keep pace with everyone is fun. I did 120 total reps today for a total now of 356.

132 reps today. 32 TGU, 40 squat thrusters, 60 clean & jerks. 252 total.
100 this evening. 10 TGU, 10 clean & press, 30 snatch, 40 clean & jerk. Running total: 141. Lynne
Grand total 300....yeah 1/3 there. I think TGU will be the end of me. Only managed 6 the rest were a combo of clean and Jerk and snatch. Totaling 80 today. Sharon I think we need to pull some more tire/suicides:)
