Chicken Bacon Quinoa Soup

This is another original recipe I put together in the slow cooker. It is my even healthier version of chicken noodle soup.

The quinoa, which is a real whole grain (unprocessed) replaces the noodles (which are processed) and the uncured bacon is added because... well because it is bacon! Bacon adds fat (satisfying) and flavor.

Additionally, I replaced the celery with butternut squash and red peppers (just for added nutrients). Finally, the chicken is free range chicken from a local farm.

So good I had it for breakfast this morning!

sounds wonderful. Bacon is always good not matter what:)I am glad that studies are finally coming out saying bacon is okay....makes me happy
