Melanie Roach, USA Weightlifting, Preparing for Beijing

As I have mentioned in my other posts, I am a big fan of Olympic Weightlifting. I have been training myself for almost two years, but do it for fun. As the Beijing Summer Olympics nears, the US lifters are preparing for to compete for the gold medal. Traditionally, many European, Asian, and Russian lifters have dominated. However, US female lifter, Melanie Roach, has a pretty good chance of medalling. Here is a video of her recent training (from http://ironmaven.blogspot.com/). I also want to show this to bash the false stereotype that weightlifting will make females big, bulky, slow, and masculine. In fact, when done correctly (not bodybuilding) it is just the opposite.
